So, the whole reason for me coming up to Michigan during the summer was to second shoot a few weddings with my amazing partner in crime, Cindy, owner of Peach Moon Photography. Well, and to visit family..but ya know.
Now something you should know: photographing weddings scares the bejesus out of me. I put so much pressure on myself knowing that this is it, my one shot, if I screw up, these people lost the documentation of one of the most important days of their lives. Cindy on the other hand, she was gung-ho, lets do it, We. Got. This. In reality, we did discuss our nerves before the shooting began at the first wedding of the summer.
The first wedding of the summer was, in all honesty, the best wedding for us to start out on. Not saying we did a poor job or anything like that! Just that the schedule ran perfect, and the bride, Theresa, was super laid back, and the bridesmaids even had some great image ideas! It was a fun night!
The second wedding was a little bit trickier. Definitely kept us on our toes and moving! I had a brain fart the night before and forgot to charge my battery for my camera (seriously-who does that!?) and I missed some AMAZING shots of the bride & groom in downtown Spring Lake..I'm pretty jealous of the images Cindy was able to capture there! All in all, we ended up getting some GREAT shots-and we even got to photograph them at the Cinema-where they met (awe!).
And last but not least the third, and my last wedding of the season. I did remember to charge my battery the night before this wedding! The bride, Autumn, was very detailed on what she wanted and where she wanted it-Awesome! Totally made our job a little bit easier. The forecast was calling for rain that day, luckily it held out until after the reception started, but we did have a nice little overcast for the images we got at the beach. We were nervous thinking we'd have to shoot in full sun while there-not the case!
On to the images! By the way, if you are a soon to be bride researching, looking for a photographer for next summer, and like what you see, definitely check out Peach Moon Photography's site and get a hold of Cindy for information! I just might be back to second shoot again next summer!

{little people} Brecken
This 'lifestyle' shoot was by far one of my favorite sessions of the summer. I call it 'lifestyle' because I can't categorize it in any other way. It was in NO way posed at all.
Brecken was diagnosed with Autism when he was 2. God definitely blessed him with his parents, Karrie & Andy. Karrie wanted to document Brecken's little things that are unique to who he is today. When we arrived at the park, Breck chose where he wanted to go, Karrie dumped out his bag of toys and he went to town. The boy loves to race, and workout. In quite a few of the images I got he was down ready for Karrie to say "on your mark, get set, go!" and he would take off!
Breck is also the face of the 'Face of Autism' image.

He had a serious love for Mario and Luigi. I don't know if the bond is that strong anymore, but I do remember that his parents (jokingly) made an Armless Mario & Luigi facebook page.
Even though this image is so simple, I love it!
Waiting for his Momma to say "Go!"

{family} Rufener
Every time I come in town to West Michigan, my sister always says that shes wants family photos done, but for some reason or another we never got around to it-until this year. It was her youngest's first birthday as well, so we could kill two birds with one stone, family photos and one year photos. To get the older girls photos it took some bribery, suggestions, and a fast shutter speed! Those girls can move!
How dreamy was the light!?
Journey's 'sassy girl' pose. We would say "Journey, can you be a sassy girl?" She would say "yeah!" and strike this pose.
Rylee would not hold still, unless we let her pic the location and everything involved with the shot. Not that I mind, because this image is gorgeous!
Jaden was also pretty pumped to pick his place where he could get his photo taken. He was definitely the easiest, 3 frames and he was done.
Miss Kinley... the birthday girl.
I love this shy girl pose she did. Sooo cute. Probably one of my favorites of the summer!
And, if you're wondering where I got the super cute headband from, it's by Chaseing Rain.

{family} Bleich
I have been itching to do a session at the Muskegon Fairgrounds...the shade, the barns, the fences...it would make the perfect setting! When I set it up to do a family session there, I had no idea that they were going to be setting up the 4H fair that night, so unfortunately we were limited to 2-3 areas where there wouldn't be a giant striped tent in the background. Never the less, we got some pretty amazing shots, pretty quickly.
You might recognize those blue eyes...yes, this is the little man in my banner at the top of this webpage
This is what happens when you tell Jason to hold the baby 'naturally'...gotta give him props, make for a cute photo!
And, last but not least...I can't believe it's been a year....Bryson is so big now!

{little people} Jaxon
Let me start this by saying, my nephew, Jaxon, has to be one of the most photogenic babies-um..ever! My sister in law came into town tonight, and I shot her a text to bring along some clothes so we could do a little mini session for Mr. Jaxon's 7m pics. There's a great field accross the street from my inlaws that I have been itching to photograph. I kind of invisioned him in a fedora type hat, and because he's a very docile happy baby, I figured he'd totally leave it on (unlike my toddler). These are some of the amazing shots I got in under 10 minutes-yes, that's right, under 10 minutes!! Why can't all children (including my own!) be this easy to photograph!??

Casting Call?
I haven't photographed a newborn in way too long! So, that being said, I am ITCHING to photograph a brand new little person! The infant will have to be under the age of 2 weeks at the time of the session, I try for 7-10 days new. If this applies to you or someone you know please contact me at info@threesixfivephotography.com for more information-including special pricing and what's included in the pricing.
